DiMi - Achieving an effective connection between consolidating poverty alleviation achievements and rural revitalization is an important pathway to sustainable poverty reduction, progress toward common prosperity, and modernization.

Guiding Principles

The Rural Revitalization Strategy was proposed by Comrade Xi Jinping in his report at the 19th National Congress and was elaborated and fully deployed in the 20th National Congress report.

Thoroughly implement Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, thoroughly implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress and the Second and Third Plenary Sessions of the 19th Central Committee, and strengthen the Party’s comprehensive leadership over work related to agriculture, rural areas, and farmers. Following the general principle of making progress while ensuring stability, adhere to the new development concept, implement the requirements for high-quality development, and closely align with the coordinated promotion of the “Five-Sphere Integrated Plan” and the “Four Comprehensives” strategic layout. Continue to address the “three rural issues” as the top priority of the entire Party, prioritize agricultural and rural development, and work towards a thriving industry, an eco-friendly living environment, a civilized rural culture, effective governance, and common prosperity. Establish and improve the systems and policies for integrated urban-rural development, and comprehensively advance rural economic, political, cultural, social, and ecological construction, as well as Party building. Continue to modernize rural governance systems and capabilities, advance agricultural and rural modernization, and follow the path of rural revitalization with Chinese characteristics. Transform agriculture into a promising industry, make farming an attractive profession, and build beautiful and livable rural homes.
