When Shanghai's Children are Isolated Alone, Ukrainian Children Have Already Packed Their Bags and Exiled to Foreign Lands
Pinned: Resolutely oppose Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
In a blink of an eye, it is April, the season of fragrant tea and falling cherry blossoms. If born in the Peach Blossom Spring, it must be a great spring. It is a pity that in the past two months, the world has gone through vicissitudes of life, and I don’t know how many joys and sorrows.
The COVID-19 pandemic has been going on for three years, and there is still no sign of termination. Especially recently, the Omicron variant epidemic has been scattered in many places in China, and local outbreaks have made the already difficult material circulation even worse. Especially, the strict inspection of truck drivers in various places has led to poor domestic express delivery. The outbreak of the epidemic in Shanghai has also hindered imports and exports. The entire supply chain is interrupted, and many companies are facing unprecedented difficulties.
On February 24, the Russia-Ukraine war broke out. In the initial stage of the war, some people thought that Russia would quickly paralyze Ukraine’s military facilities and armed forces, but until today, the two sides are still fighting and talking. When Shanghai’s children are isolated alone, Ukrainian children have already packed their bags and exiled to foreign lands.
In this Russia-Ukraine war, Russia took the lead in launching a hot war against Ukraine, but soon Ukraine continued to release news to the outside world through the Twitter accounts of President Zelensky and several ministers, launching an information war and public opinion war against Russia. NATO member states that wanted to intervene in the war borrowed the slope to get off the donkey, and used the excuse of responding to Ukraine’s request to transport weapons to Ukraine and impose economic sanctions on Russia. Even Switzerland, which has always been neutral, also imposed economic sanctions on Russia, and the financial and physical assets of some Russians were confiscated. People suddenly realized that assets deposited in banks and bought in “democratic” countries are not safe. Of course, domestic fiat currency and assets are not safe either. War will lead to the collapse of regime credit, currency devaluation, and stock market crash.
In the past two months, there is another fact that has not attracted much attention but is very serious. The world may fall into a huge food and energy crisis. First, Russia is the second largest oil exporter and the largest natural gas exporter. Second, Russia and Ukraine are the world’s largest and fifth largest wheat exporters respectively. The war has led to a sharp reduction in energy and food exports from Russia and Ukraine. Third, affected by the rare autumn flood last year, 110 million mu of wheat in China was sown late, and there was a cold spell in early spring at the beginning of the year. The summer grain harvest is facing a special unfavorable situation.
The changes brought about by the epidemic and war are by no means just occasional lockdowns and isolations. More changes are people’s fear of the unknown. Before the epidemic, everything seemed hopeful, work was stable, housing prices kept rising, and the capital market was also very lively. People ate and drank together, occasionally intrigued, and life went on as usual. Between countries, it was just a fight without breaking. You have me and I have you, and everyone makes money together. After the epidemic, everything seems to have changed. People are separated by two layers of masks. They can’t see each other’s expressions or feel each other’s emotions. There are only cold words. Trust between countries has also been lost. Hot wars, cold wars, and various wars. The complex external environment has led to the country becoming more and more closed, economic and trade blockages, and companies affected by the epidemic have reduced their scale. Some people have lost their jobs, and even couples have lost their jobs. The house supply is cut off, and they have to cut their flesh and retreat to their hometowns.
Individuals quickly evolve to adapt to this uncertain world, which has become a compulsory course. A set of assets that are separated from sovereignty, anonymous, and globally circulating has become a rigid need. So we see that Ukraine urgently recognizes the legal status of cryptocurrency and accepts various crypto asset donations to facilitate Russian residents to exchange their local currency for crypto assets to prevent fiat currency devaluation caused by the collapse of the government. Russia also accepts Bitcoin payments for its natural gas to cope with the embarrassment of being unable to use US dollars for settlement.
Perhaps everyone should store a certain amount of crypto assets for emergencies. Coins can only be used as a means of storing value. To truly accumulate wealth quickly and enhance resistance, you also need to make money through other channels, such as discovering new opportunities derived from extreme environments, entering high-growth areas, learning a new skill, etc.
