Blog Still Needs to Be Written

The last time I wrote an original article was on August 9th, more than a month ago. At that time, I was tired of writing in a fixed template. I wanted to try to concentrate on writing long articles. According to the original plan, 4 high-quality long articles should be produced in a month. During this period, I also learned the card date, but the practice was not successful. Long articles require a lot of research on the topic and need to take a whole block of time to write, which is not realistic due to work reasons. In fact, this is a superficial excuse. The actual reason is that I didn’t do research on the topic, plus insufficient reserves, no goods in my brain, and couldn’t write anything. So, during this time, not only did I not write high-quality articles, but I didn’t even write a running account. If this continues, this blog may be abandoned.

The earliest writing was in junior high school composition class. Junior high school compositions were often read aloud by the teacher as model essays in class. In addition to compositions, there were also weekly diaries. Compositions had fixed topics and were completed within a fixed 90 minutes. Weekly diary topics and time were relatively free. One article a week, write whatever you want. I can’t remember what I wrote at that time. Sometimes weekly diaries were also used by teachers as model essays for reading. Unfortunately, I can’t find the composition book of that year. Whether I wrote about my secret love for a female classmate in it is no longer verifiable. If there was, the Chinese teacher must have seen it. In junior high school, I also participated in composition competitions and won low-level awards, but after all, it was the wild way of rural education, which was really far from the level of the New Concept Composition Competition. Of course, at that time, I didn’t know there was such high-level writing as New Concept Composition. In any case, at that time, I laid some foundation for writing and cultivated a writing hobby.

In high school, schoolwork was heavy, and the habit of taking notes gradually disappeared, but compositions were still often used by teachers as model essays. Starting from the first year of high school, all school writing training was preparing for the college entrance examination composition, and the further back it went, the more stereotyped it became. By the third year of high school, the Chinese teacher had forced all students to train stereotyped essays according to standard introduction, elucidation, transition, and conclusion, paragraphs, chapters, and rhetorical methods. Now I don’t remember whether I wrote a profound or beautiful sentence in high school that year, but the fixed pattern in structure did not affect the creation of genius. I still remember a sentence in a composition by a classmate in the third year of high school: “I walked a lot of roads in my dream, and I was still in bed when I woke up.”

For nearly ten years after that, I didn’t write any text spontaneously, even in the blog era. Around 2012, I can’t remember the reason, I bought an independent domain name to open an independent blog. At first, I chose WordPress + virtual host, and later used Ghost + cloud server mode. During this period, I also tossed static blogs, but finally returned to Ghost because of its appearance. Looking through the blog introduction written at that time, it was impressively written “iDiMi - dedicated to becoming an independent blog that records life and spreads ideas, not affectedly, not moaning without illness. Often go up to the high building alone, but not forcing to say sorrow for composing new lyrics.” The intention may be too big. Instead, the blog theme “Seeking Truth, Discovering Value” is more appropriate and meaningful. Writing a blog is ultimately for serving oneself. The quality of the blog is not important, what is important is the record.
